I like...

- strawberry season is open! I celebrated with strawberry smoothie
- Haagen Dazs ice cream. With strawberries ;)
- making photos of myself and Adam, camera in one hand, Adam in another
- summer has arrived! Love those little toes, socks are forgotten, waiting for colder weather - a new path through the forest I discovered earlier this week. Apparently it goes for nearly 20 miles, you end up in the middle of the moors. So far we did only 2 miles (and return) but it was great. Old trees make are fleshing shadow, much appreciated in hot weather
- Longest Acres blog. An amazing blog about living on a farm in far away USA. So far away and the author seems like a sister to me. An amazing lady. Happy Birthday Kathryn!
- this post about being a mother, because it sounds as if it was written by me. I have exactly the same experience, it's good to know, I wasn't the only one feeling so... Overwhelmed
- new blinds in my living room and bedroom - bell pepper, tomato and onion salad. I can eat it every day

Pure cuteness

The summer is here! We hope to enjoy it as much as we can, as it can finish any day! I'm not being pessimistic, just realistic. We had a very busy day today (long walk, garden play, a play group) and going through all the photos seems to be just too much for me today. Instead I will share with you an amazing picture of dog, kitten and baby fox. It turned me into mush. The whole blog is pretty cool and worth having a look if you've got a minute.

Gourmet baby food

Leek, Sweet Potato and Pea puree. Adam loved it.

Sunday is the day to spoil yourself and your family with food, isn't? I always prepare something extra nice on Sunday, even if it's only a little treat. Like an omelette with tomato and basil for breakfast. Unfortunately it was eaten to fast to photograph it. Since Adam's started eating with us I make sure there is something extra nice for him as well. It doesn't seem to be fair, to put a lot of effort in food for grown ups only. Babies deserve even better food in order to explore and learn to enjoy different tastes.

Today I made Leek, Sweet Potato and Pea purée for him. If you'd like
- 50g leek, sliced - 300g sweet potato, peeled and chopped
- 50g peas, may be frozen
- 300mls vegetable stock

Cook leek and and sweet potato in vegetable stock for 15 minutes, add frozen peas and cook another 5 mins. Blend into desired consistency. I always use the orange-fleshed sweet potato variety as it is more nutritious. This amount is enough to make 5 portions and it can be frozen to enjoy later. Before serving I add a little spoon of olive oil or butter, to add some good fatty acids.

My husband and me had a lovely mango lassi to brighten up this murky day. I had to share mine with the little one though.

Garden friends

A little robin wanted to help me with the lawn.

Squirel stealing grass. You can see our lawn needs some TLC.

Today we managed to do some work in our garden. We really waited too long, but the weather hasn't been spoiling us recently, hence the delay. The best thing about our garden is, that it's always full of wildlife. You can see birds, frogs, tiny mammals and lots of insects with some spectacular butterflies. Today we had two unexpected guests, they didn't seem to be bothered too much with our presence.

I like...

- few minutes after baby Adam finishes his milk feed. We are still cuddled together, he gives me the most beautiful smiles and cooes quietly.

- Instgram app from Apple. Love the idea of blogging your everyday life as it happens.

 - baby food in pouches, it comes so handy when Adam and me fancy a very long walk and lunch on the go! Adam really enjoys these.

- mint jeans. You can wear it in so many ways. I have to find it in a long length. My biggest problem is, that trousers are always too short.

- eating asparagus. A lot of it. Steamed are the best but a soup is very nice as well.

 - watching Adam sleeping on my baby monitor.

 - Emma Bradshaw's photos of her new baby

My first time...

Hi! This is my first time in the bloggers community. I'm not a photographer, I'm not a writer, I haven't got any artistic background, but I love life and would like to share all little things which make my days beautiful. As I haven't blogged before, please bear with me, this a learning curve. Sometime later today I will find out how to add a photo and will show off my day!

Unexpected treat, sunflower bread with buckwheat honey.

 Madame relaxing in the sun.

Baby Adam being fed by my husband

Flowers growing on a stonewall. They were tiny, smaller than my fingernails!

Perfect lunch for baby and mummy. We love papaya and avocado.
